Reflections: collected works by Jun

Artist Profile:

"I always had a knack for art, I guess....." says Jun.  "When I was in grade school, my drawing was hung in the Dean's room, my poster was selected as first place and my drawings were often displayed in the hallways (as selected classroom projects were displayed regularly).  I never thought anything special about it."  At high school, she belonged to the Art Club and learned to use oil.  At college, she studied printmaking and ceramics.  She also belonged to a photography club.  After that, her interests broadened to multi-media.  Video became an artistic medium and experimental music was just what it called for.  Her secret ambition is to issue her own CD.  "I am still learning how to sequence.  I don't know when that will be....," she laughs.  Her work "Ji-yu, Liberty No.1" was featured at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Local Artists Gallery.
